June Newsletter: Totchoani Update and New Teammate and Intern

(Dovene starting with the storying via the simple Church Method in Totchoani) Totchoani Update I (Dovene) have been really encouraged in the process of discipling two guys who are always on the ball to learn more in the word.   Their names are George and Eric. They are serious about making disciples and we are meeting for training on Saturday and Sunday evenings.  There are two other young men named Koffi and Allain who have come to some of the meetings as well but have not been consistent.  They are not yet Christians so we are hoping...

May Newsletter: Go and Make Disciples!

We here at Togo Christian Mission have been on a path of learning more about how we can help the Church in Togo to grow.  God has blessed us to learn more through some truly spirit led people and materials.  We have been going through the materials from Curtis Sergeant regarding the “Simple Church Method”.   The more we learn the more we are both challenged and encouraged about creating disciples of Jesus in Togo.   This simple Church method can be summarized in three main points: “Love God, Love others, Make Disciples”.  I...

September Update: Container and Summer Interns

Locked and Loaded; Container ready to go! Dovene and Sara have been blessed to have many help to prepare a 40 foot shipping container to leave for Togo.  They recently loaded the container with many school and clinic donations along with a vehicle, tractor, and several pieces of farm equipment (a plow, bush hog, etc.) for the future pineapple farm. It has been amazing to see God working through so many individuals and churches to provide these much needed materials and equipment to support and strengthen the ministry in Togo. We are...

A Big Thank You…!

Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.  Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep.  You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.  How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadows of your wings.  They feast on the abundance  of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights.  For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. -Psalm 36:5-9               We are so excited!...

“What does the Lord require of you?  To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8 Adeline is 10 years old.  She is an orphan living in an orphanage that is poorly run in Vogan, Togo.  A few years ago Adeline had spinal tuberculosis which was treated.  As a result of the spinal TB, Adeline has been diagnosed for TB Kyphosis and she needs a posterior spinal fusion as her spine is severely deformed.  For years both she and her doctor have been aware of this, but when you grow up in Vogan, Togo medical...
